Vege Day at Vietnam Australia International School system
Children often have unhealthy eating habits because they tend to choose foods based on their preferences such as fast food, foods high in fat or sugar. This will be harmful to children’s health in the long run, especially during the most important stage of physical and intellectual development from 0-12 years old.
Starting from mid-November 2015, The Caterers in collaboration with the Vietnam Australia International School System (VAS) organized a “Vegetable Festival” to help students better understand the benefits of green vegetables, and encourage them to maintain healthy eating habits.
Accompanying schools in educating students about nutrition or healthy eating habits is also one of the operational criteria of the school canteen service that DigiViet has applied over the past time.
Along with the nutrition education content, the participation of Australian Chef of the Outdoor Catering Service – Rebecca Morgan also helps students have the opportunity to improve their English skills while communicating and learning simple and useful general knowledge.
This is a move demonstrating The Caterers’ sense of responsibility to the community, through supporting the school to organize an extracurricular activity related to education, free of charge, high quality right in the pedagogical environment.
